Arc wire spray is the preferred process for many coating applications.
Arc Spray Gun is used in situations where gases and fuel are in short supply because it uses only the power of electricity. Electric arc wire spray requires no process gases other than atomizing air.
Among the thermal spraying methods, arc spraying has the highest flow velocity.
This method is also used thermal spray metalizing wire to deposit low-cost coatings with wear resistance or electrical and thermal conductivity.
Product Details
In the Metal Arc Spray Gun process, the raw material in the form of metallic wires is melted by means of an electric arc Spray Gun. The molten material is atomized by compressed air and propelled towards the workpiece and components. Arc Spray Process is a technique in which Electric Arc Wire Spraying is done by the Twin Arc Spray Gun.
Working of Arc Spray Gun
Twin Wire arc spray Gun uses two consumable wires of metal to feed inside the gun independently. Although these wires are charged and then an arc is generated between them. The heat from this arc melts the incoming wires of metal. After that this molten metal was entrained in an air jet from the gun. Arc Spray Coating has entrained molten metal deposited onto the workpiece with the help of compressed air. This process is mostly used for heavy coating of metallic on a workpiece.
What is Wire Arc Spray Coating?
The wire arc spray coating method is a Thermal Spray method in which two conducting wires are melted by an arc. The arc generates a high enough temperature to turn the wires into molten metal. The substance is then atomized into microscopic particles and driven onto the chosen substrate using ultra-clean compressed air. The wire arc spray coating process has a number of advantages over plasma and HVOF coating methods, including reduced operating costs, increased material output per hour, and the ability to produce a coarser coating. In addition, wire arc coatings are well-suited for dimensional restoration of both is machined and worn parts, saving clients significant time and money in the case of such occurrences.
Wire arc spray coatings have a long history of providing effective corrosion protection at a low cost.
Overall, the wire arc spray coating method is a low-cost, easy-to-repeat procedure that produces a wide range of highly reliable material-coating solutions.
For applications requiring a thick coating layer, wire arc metalizing is ideal. The wire arc system sprays at exceptionally high rates and produces a highly concentrated spray pattern.
Arc Spray Coating
Air Drive (AD)- Electric arc wire spray was one of the earliest thermal spray techniques to be developed, and it continues to be the preferred method for many coating applications. Electric arc wire spray uses no process gasses other than atomizing air and is powered entirely by electricity. As a result, coatings created using this method are typically cleaner and more machinable than those made using other thermal spray methods. Electric arc wire systems are the simplest to operate and maintain of any thermal spray process, with the fewest input parameters of any thermal spray process. They also deliver exceptionally reliable and robust coating results.

Zinc Arc Spray Gun Process
A Metalization arc spray is another form of the arc which deposits a coating on the internal and external surface of a part of any geometry. It is mostly used for coating on the cylinder bores of an engine. It enables the use of an Aluminum Arc Spray Gun engine block without having heavy cast iron sleeves. A Wire Arc Spray coating is used to melt the wire that is a supersonic plasma jet. This plasma jet is formed by transferring an arc between a non-consumable cathode and wire which is used for thermal spray coating.
Compressed air transports the molten droplets stream on the components after atomization. Due to the high kinetic energy the molten droplets impinge on the surface of the substrate and flatten. When molten droplets come in contact then they rapidly solidify. The stacked bits created up a high wear-resistant Wire Arc Spray coating on the component. The thermal spray process utilizes a single wire as the feedstock material.
