Applications of Remote Control Valve

  • A remote control valve is a typically closed, self-sealing, fail-safe valve. The significant internal air path completely eliminates the pressure loss of other remote control systems.
  • A remote control valve controls the blasting process in a sand blasting machine.
  • When a sand blasting machine has a remote control system, the operator is easily turning the unit on or off.
  • It also makes the operator's security better. For air venting, an exhaust valve is incorporated into the top of the remote control body. The air intake and exhaust operations are both controlled by a single valve.

Remote Control Valve Details

The Remote Control Valve is used by an abrasive blasting operator for starting up and shutting down the Sandblasting machine. The remote control system comprises a remote control valve an DMS (dead man switch), which are joined by a twin-pipe.

The control handle often referred to as a dead man switch, is the trigger for the Remote Control Valve System. When the operator releases the Remote control handle, the Sand Blasting machines deactivates, stopping air and abrasive flow through the sand Blasting Nozzle

The Remote Controls operate pneumatically. If the operator is not pressing the dead man handle, one stream of air travels down the outbound side of the twin line and escapes through an opening located under the lever. The usually closed inlet valve remains closed, and the usually open outlet valve remains open.

When the dead man handle lever is pressed, the opening is sealed, and air in the outbound line returns through the inbound line to open the inlet valve and close the outlet valve. This action pressurizes the Sand blasting machine and begins the Sand Blasting process. Freeing the handle puts the machine in exhaust mode, which closes the inlet valve, and opens the outlet valve to depressurize the Sand Blasting machine and stop the blasting.

Pneumatic remote controls work great in blasting operations with blast pipe lengths less than 100 ft.

Buyer Questions

Common questions about Remote Control Valve.

Buyer questions related to remote control valve, specifications, application, price, and machine selection.

Are glass beads safe for sandblasting?
In comparison to other blasting procedures, it is a safe procedure. Sand blasting can be replaced with glass bead blasting. The procedure is safe for the environment.
What is the difference between sandblasting and shot blasting?
The medium used is one of the primary distinctions between shot blasting and sand blasting. Almost exclusively, shot-blasting employs abrasive "shot" made of metal, such as aluminium oxide or carbon grit. Sandblasting can use metallic shot, but it is more commonly used with gentler abrasives like organic media or glass.
What's the difference between sandblasting and bead blasting?
Bead blasting is comparable to sandblasting, but it uses considerably less air pressure, making it a much slower and gentler procedure. When inflicting any harm to the metal is a worry, it's ideal for stripping it clean.
Can you use glass beads in a sandblaster?
In a sandblast cabinet, glass beads are commonly utilized. It performs nicely in a suction feed sandblast cabinet because it is not a particularly heavy blast media. Although it is uncommon to use glass beads with a basic sandblast pot, you can smash glass with a standard sandblast pot.
What is glass bead blasting?
One type of shot blasting is bead blasting. Fine glass beads are released at high pressure in this method to clean or polish a surface. A bead blaster fires bead-shaped media from a high-pressured instrument at the material's surface in this procedure.
